Over 37 years of its existence Neelashaila Mahavidyalaya has stood committed to its goal of providing higher education facilities both at +2 & +3 levels to its students at affordable cost. The college has a dedicated band of highly competent teachers to provide quality education to the students who are mostly drawn from poor socio economic background. Infact, most of the students are 1st generation learners. To its credit, the college has the distinction of being a naac accredited college with grade-b. It also comes under the list of 2[f] & 12[b] ugc act. Our college has a holistic & dynamic approach towards education where we focus on all - round development of a student.

Uniquely located to the close proximity of NIT, Rourkela in the south and koel river in the north, the campus of the college with the lush green, serene atmosphere and divine bearings provides a fitting ambience for academic pursuits where learning really means evolving.

It has become a centre of academic excellence in the field of higher education for the last thirty seven years in all the streams like Arts, Science & Commerce having honours teaching facilities in all subjects.
